Laser Safety

A hazardous laser is defined in risk classes 3B and 4, as well as in risk class 3R in the invisible spectrum. The law prohibits the use of a hazardous laser without the approval of a certified laser safety officer

Employees working with a hazardous laser are required to complete the online training and pass the examination once a year.

New employees are required, in addition, to coordinate in person training session with the laser safety officer.

"Before ordering/purchasing a hazardous laser, you must inform the laser safety officer to receive appropriate safety instructions.
